Take the train to Zurich HB (main station). The National Museum Zurich is located next to the main station (follow signs).
With tram or bus: Stops Bahnhofquai/HB (lines 4, 11, 13, 14, 17, 46) or Bahnhofplatz (lines 3, 6, 10, 31).
Follow signs to Zürich City and then to the Hauptbahnhof.
Parking: Hauptbahnhof (Sihlquai 41), Central (Seilergraben), Urania (Uraniastrasse 3).
The e-guide is available in the “National Museum” smartphone app or on a special device you can hire from the Welcome Desk. It guides you to selected exhibits in German, French, Italian, English, Mandarin or Russian. The app is also available in Swiss-German sign language for people with hearing impairments.
Equipped with a discovery suicase, a map, a magnifying glass and a puzzle book, children and families can go off on their very own journey of discovery around the museum. As they move around between the various stopping points, guests can find out about the items on display in a fun and entertaining way.
The museum has two wheelchairs available for people with impaired mobility. Please reserve in advance: Tel. +41 58 466 66 66.
The exhibitions are accessible for both wheelchair users and people with prams.
Toilets for the disabled are located in the foyer basement, in the new building and on the ground floor of the old building (accessible via lifts).
