The 20th / 21st-Century Collection

The broad scope and great variety of the collections amassed over time in the museum reflect the encyclopaedic nature of the institution’s mandate. Such an approach ensures high-quality collections, principally because it is based on the currently much-discussed concept of inter-disciplinarity.

By spanning the periods of the museum’s various thematic areas, the curator for the 20th and 21st centuries plays a vital role in our effort to develop individual collections into the present day wherever appropriate.
